In-Wall inspector Palmscope
General Tools & Instruments
The PalmScope from General Tools is more than just a small, full-featured video inspection system. It is also built to survive in the harsh environments of plumbing and automotive maintenance and repair, not to mention any unusual situations to which a do-it-yourselfer might subject it. The unit’s thermoplastic rubber (TPR) housing and integral LCD are certified drop-proof to a height of 1 m (3.4 ft.). The system can be operated with one hand, leaving the other hand free to use tools. The grip and LCD get their input from a camera-tipped probe. The probe that comes with the PalmScope is 2 ft. (0.6 m) long and has a camera-head diameter of 9 mm (0.35 in.), making it ideal for inspecting gasoline engine cylinders through the spark plug hole. Other general automotive applications include inspecting hard-to-reach or hard-to-see areas of the engine compartment or undercarriage. • Fits in your pocket or clips to your belt inside included pouch • Probe coils inside the case for storage • 2 ft. long, 9 mm (0.35 in.) diameter camera-tipped probe is waterproof to IP67 standard and penetrates tight, hard-to-reach spaces • Camera has a 60-degree field of view and 1 in. to 10 ft. depth of field • 2.7 in. high-contrast LCD • Four camera lighting LEDs to produce bright, crisp video • Four screen controls for brightness up and down, 4x zoom and image rotation • Powered by four AAA batteries (sold separately) • Auto power off (APO) function extends battery life • On-screen low-battery icon • Includes four probe tip accessories (45° mirror, pickup hook, magnetic pickup, thread) • Protector and nylon pouch with belt clip
